We have tested the AS80 and C20 diamond blades that were left on trial by you in March. The results are conclusive and are as follows.

The C20 was used on all types of concrete products including slabs, paviours, reinforced lintels and also on occasional abrasive products. We monitored the cuts on the sheets provided and it cut a total of 1370 cuts. There is 5mm left on the blade. The cutting speed was excellent. We normally use a ****** or ******** product. We can honestly say the Edge C20 lasted over 4 times longer than the ****** blade and 5 times longer than the ******** blade we usually buy.

The AS80 is the best blade we have ever used. It is the most incredible blade as it does not wear much but cuts very quickly. The diamond concentration has to be seen to be believed. We were happy using the ****** C34 blade and the ******** AS700 although we had some significant segment loss as discussed with you on your last visit which is the very reason we are testing your product.

We test may be 5-10 different manufacturers products per month from various sources and all the products are usually the same or last + or - 5% difference. The AS80 has lasted 3 times longer than the best we had ever used before. The AS80 cut 3300 metres.

This is the first time I have ever written to a potential supplier with a testimonial and may well not have done so if you had not already given me your net pricing structure, (joking). I look forward to discussing our full requirement with you on the 4th at 10.00am. It makes a change for a sales pitch to be backed up with fact. Well Done!

Dear Mr Clarke,

I am writing to congratulate you on one of your products, the 14 inch C40 Professional blade. We purchased this blade and delivered it to our customer to test the quality of your diamond blades. He was running two 14 inch masonry bench saws side by side 8 hours a day for 5 weeks whilst building a very long curved wall on a prison in the London area and each brick had to be individually cut. On one machine was a ******* BT86 top of the range blade and on the other your C40. Within a week the ******* blade had been used up but your blade was still going strong, in fact my customer told me that it outlasted the job and he was taking it onto another wall he was going to build in the near future. Obviously my customer was more than happy with the performance of the blade and only asks for Edge Diamond blades.

Keeping this in mind I will be contacting you in the near future to place a stock order for the whole range of Edge Diamond Products. If the quality of the C40 blade is anything to go by I am sure Edge will be the only diamond products I will need to buy.

Dear Sirs,

Your Sales Manager recently left three blades for trial on the basis that we monitor the performance and submit a report to yourselves. The blades tested were AS80 300mm and 350mm Asphalt blades and a C20 concrete blade. The 300mm AS80 was used in Dudley and performed really well in terms of life and cutting speed in comparison with our usual suppliers product. The AS80 cut 900metres more than the ******* ******* product that we usually buy. Although your product is £12.00 dearer it is obviously more cost efficient to buy your AS80 as it is cutting twice as much and also cutting much quicker.

The AS80 350mm obliterated our other suppliers product. It cut 3220 metres to full depth of 118mm, which was closely monitored on carriageway in Blackheath West Midlands. We normally achieve 900 metres from our usual suppliers product. Speed of cut was excellent also.

The C20 is an excellent blade and cuts all types of concretes we come across with ease. It is a long lasting blade and it is still out in the field at the moment. The last time i surveyed the C20 it had 5mm segment left and was still going well.

I congratulate you on your range of products that are ideally suited to our needs as a National Civil Engineering company. We need to monitor our costs and it makes financial sense to buy the Edge Product, which noticeably outperform any other products we have tested before. Dear Sirs,

Thank you for allowing us to test your latest range of diamond products. We received from you a professional range 350mm AS80 diamond blade. The tests were conducted on an Errut floorsaw. The tests were compiled on areas around Wolverhampton.

There was a noticeable difference in speed of cut in comparison to other products we have used and been asked to test. We normally find the quicker the cutting speed the faster the wear but this was remarkably not the case with the AS80.

Longevity of life is probably the best we have ever had from any other supplier of diamond products. We monitored closely the track length the AS80 had cut and we were astounded to find that it had cut up to twice as much as any other blade we had used. The total metres cut at full depth was 2860 metres. Normally we would expect to get anywhere from 600-1200 metres from a 350 Asphalt blade.

We found no signs of undercutting due to the 15mm undercut protection segments attached to the blade. When in use there is a noticeably high concentration of diamond on the segments, which I am sure is attributable to the AS80,s performance.

Taking into consideration that the unit cost of an AS80 is less than other products we purchase, we firmly believe that the AS80 is unrivalled in terms of quality , speed. life and generally you can tell just by looking at it that it is higher quality than other products we purchase currently.

It makes a change to deal with a company whose products totally surpass by far all other products on the market and we look forward to the continued quality.

I write as promised for your reference with regard to the conclusive tests that have been carried out on Edge range of Diamond products. As you are aware we have been distributors of various manufacturers some of which are the UK,s leaders in terms of turnover. We have been fairly happy with the performance of all these manufacturers products, but each one as its own pitfalls for various reasons so we have always had to cherry pick the product for various applications or customers dependent on the performance of each individual product.

During the last six month we have tested four various ranges from Edge and it is our true belief backed by conclusive test results, that the Edge range is by far outperforming all other manufacturers products in terms of life, quality and cost. We have been able to supply some large civil engineering companies with a product that exceeds the normal expectations normally surrounding the diamond industry. We have won contracts to supply product to various companies that have tried products in the past but the results were always very similar you could say.

Your product has totally obliterated the competition. Our customers are asking for the Edge product by name and our customer base is expanding mainly because of the movement of gangs from one company to another and they are demanding to use your product so the word of mouth element is certainly coming to fruition.

On this basis we would like to apply for super distributor status with Edge as discussed in out last meeting. We look forward to your prompt reply.

We have tested the Professional AS80 product you left for trial and I hereby enclose the report as promised. The AS80 blade was used in the Smethick area over a period of 6 weeks. Our usual product for Asphalt usually lasts 2 weeks if the segments don't come off before this period.

The AS80 cut approximately 3400 metres and it was used on pavement as we were ducting. As discussed it is hard to tell the operators not to cut to full depth as this always ends up in segment loss with our usual suppliers product namely *** and ******. Your blade was used to full depth into the sub base and yet still showed no signs of segment loss even after 6 weeks use.

We normally get 700 metres from a *** blade and 1100 metres from a ****** blade. Bearing in mind your blade is quicker and cheaper we will be buying it from now on. Please find an attached order.

Dear Ian Clarke,

We put into our hire fleet a 350mm AS80 Asphalt blade which was fitted to a 350mm floorsaw to hire out on our hire fleet. Although it is impossible to know how many metres were cut whilst on hire we found the blade to last very well. some reports when asked stated that 3-400 metres were cut whilst on each hire. After 14 hire outs we found only 2mm of wear had been used. The return on capital out layed is phenomenal as this blade on these figure could be hired approximately 40 times.

Dear Sirs,

I would like to thank your National Sales manager for getting us out of the ****. As you are aware we had one of our largest customers telephone us to say that he was having difficulty in getting a 450mm bench saw blade to cut properly. We telephoned your office to say we had a big problem as this was a Friday evening and the job had a clause attached that it had to be finished the following Monday at the power station otherwise there was to be a large amount of compensation to be paid to the main contractor who had to fit a large piece of technical equipment on the following Monday. Yours sales manager organised to visit personally and arrived Friday evening on site. On inspection it was another manufacturers product that had glazed while cutting the furnace bricks. Not only did your Sales Manager not mind in being called out and finding a competitors product on the machine that was at fault, but he had brought another blade with him that worked very well and also stayed for 2 hours to help cut the furnace bricks himself to get the job back on track.
