Edge Online Terms of Business

1 Buying Goods

On registration you will select a user ID and password which you should keep confidential at all times. Edge Tools and Equipment Limited ("Edge") will not be responsible if you do not maintain the secrecy of your user ID and password. If you become aware that anybody else knows your user ID and password you should immediately advise us on info@edgediamond.com.

2 Description of Goods

Photographs, drawings, diagrams and descriptions are for guide purposes only and do not necessarily represent the products on offer; any sizes, capacities and dimensions quoted are approximate and also for guidance purposes only. Edge reserves the right to change the description or specification of its products without notice.

3 Prices

The prices shown on our website do not include VAT at the applicable rate and are for guidance only. Any discrepancy in pricing will be advised to you by email and you will have the opportunity to revise or cancel your order at that stage. Please note that delivery charges are charged where applicable on each order and the delivery options and prices are displayed on the Shopping Basket page and added to the total value of your order. Some orders dependent on order value are carriage paid. Any Edge offers or discount arrangements not referred to on the Edge website are not applicable to prices displayed and Edge reserves the right to alter the displayed prices without notice.

4 Availability of Goods

We endeavour to indicate the availability of products held but on occasions, due to circumstances beyond our control, products may be temporarily out of stock and we are unable to guarantee their availability at all times. Edge will in no circumstances be liable for the non availability of any product. In the unlikely event that we are unable to fulfil any aspect of your order we will advise you on your delivery note/invoice and we will refund your credit/debit card account or account within 3 working days of the invoice date.

5 Special Offers and Promotions

In order to maintain supplies for all its customers Edge reserves the right to limit the number of products on promotion or special offer that may be ordered by a customer.

6 Cancellation or Amendment of Orders

When you place an online order for Edge products you will receive confirmation of your order from Edge by email. Because we endeavour to fulfil all orders immediately we regret that it is not possible for you to amend or cancel your order once it has been placed.

7 Payment

We accept payment by Master Card, Visa and JCB credit cards and by Switch, Delta and Solo debit cards only. For your protection your credit\debit card details will be encrypted, for further information please refer to our Site Security section. Before your order is accepted your card details will be checked and payment verified. You will receive email confirmation of our acceptance of your order, provided we have been supplied with a valid email address.

8 Delivery

Our standard delivery service aims to deliver your order on mainland UK (see Delivery Options) on the working day (Mondays to Fridays excluding Bank Holidays) following the day on which your order is accepted, if accepted before 16.00hrs although we cannot guarantee this. If you require a guaranteed delivery time then you should specify this when placing your order. Please see our Shopping Basket page for more details of the delivery services available. Deliveries must be signed for by someone aged 18 years or over. If no one is available to receive your order at the time of delivery the delivery driver will leave notification of the attempted delivery and return the goods to the depot from where you will be responsible for arranging collection. Delivery will only be made to the delivery address specified at the time the order is placed.

9 Guarantees

If for any reason you are not satisfied with your goods Edge will refund the price of the goods provided that they are returned to your selected Trading Partner, unused and in their original condition, together with the original packaging, within 7 days of the date of the invoice.

In the event that you are unsatisfied with the performance of a blade where edge have guaranteed money back, the following terms apply. "Fault diagnosis" and "Choosing the correct tool for the job" sections at www.edgediamond.com must be consulted by the customer prior to any action being taken. All goods must be received back to Edge within 5 working days of receipt of the product. Customer pays carriage to return faulty item to Edge, Suite 14, Keynes House, Chester Park, Alfreton Road, Derby. DE21 4AS. On return of the item the blade will be inspected by the Edge manufacturing team and if necessary referred to metallurgists. The blade will be analysed to ascertain how the blade has been used and whether evidence exists to suggest mis-use of the blade, in which case no refund will be offered. No product with less than 75% of the original depth of the segment will be considered for refund. Where the blade is found to be faulty through no fault of the customer, we reserve the right to refund the percentage of cutting segment in mm left on the product at an equivalent percentage of the original purchase price. Where a customer believes that another blade is better then the blade the comparisons are made against needs to be returned for comparison to Edge for analytical and working test. Tests will be conducted as to the structure, performance, applications, price and general look of the blade. The findings of the Edge technical team will be final.

10 Limitation of Liability

Edge liability (even if it has been negligent) shall not extend to:

• loss of business, income or profits
• failure to make predicted savings
• "wasted" expenditure
• losses which are not a direct consequence of the action (or lack of action) of Edge or its sub-contractors, Trading Partners or agents
• any other consequential loss;

11 Statutory Rights

Consumers' statutory rights are not affected.

Linked sites are not under the control of Edge and Edge is not responsible or liable for the contents of any linked site or any link contained in a linked site. Links to Trading Partner and other third party sites are provided to users as a convenience only and the existence of such a link does not imply any endorsement or recommendation of such site.

13 Reservation of Rights

All rights in the photographs, drawings, design, "get up", information and part numbers on the Edge website are owned by Edge and may not be copied or printed (except for your personal use in connection with the placing of an order) without first obtaining the written consent of Edge. The names and logos of Edge, C6 Limited and other services referred to on this website are trademarks or registered trade marks of Edge. The names or logos of Trading Partners may be the trademarks or registered trademarks of such Trading Partners.

14 Data Protection and Privacy

The personal information with which you provide us will be safeguarded by Edge and will only be used for certain specific purposes. For more information in this connection, please see our Privacy Statement.

15 Miscellaneous

To order goods from the Edge website you must be at least 18 years of age, resident in the United Kingdom and have registered as a Edge customer.
Edge reserves the right to:

• terminate or alter the Edge website service
• refuse the registration of any customer without giving a reason
• cancel your registration and terminate your ability to use the Edge service if you fail to abide by these terms and conditions
• alter these terms and conditions at any time by posting notice of such alteration together with the altered terms on the website
